Dr. Asmaa Akhrouf's academic journey began with a strong foundation in the sciences, culminating in a Baccalaureate in Experimental Sciences from Jaber Ben Hayan High School, Casablanca, in 2012. She continued her education at the Faculty of Sciences Ain Chock, Casablanca, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry Sciences with a focus on Analytical Chemistry and Environment in 2015, followed by a Master’s degree in Chemistry and Valorization in 2018, both with distinction. Her academic pursuits reached their pinnacle in July 2023 when she was awarded a Ph.D. in Solid State Chemistry and Physical Chemistry of Materials, conducted at the Laboratory of Materials Engineering for Environment and Valorization (GeMEV).

Dr. Akhrouf has been actively involved in academia, contributing significantly to the education and mentorship of students. In 2023, she co-supervised a Ph.D. student at GeMEV, where she has been a part of the MCC team. Between 2021 and 2022, she taught a course on the physico-chemical studies of inorganic materials, focusing on the refinement of structures using the Fullprof program, to Master’s students in Chemistry.
