Dr. Shuaicheng Jiang began his academic journey with a Master of Science in Forestry Engineering from Central South University of Forestry and Technology, completed between 2016 and 2018. He further advanced his education by pursuing a Ph.D. in Wood Science and Technology at Nanjing Forestry University from 2020 to 2023. His doctoral research laid a strong foundation for his future contributions to the field of forestry engineering.

Professional Endeavors

Dr. Jiang's professional career commenced with a research assistant position at Henan Agricultural University from August 2018 to August 2019. Here, he focused on the high-value utilization of forest biomass and the development of biomimetic low-carbon building materials. Subsequently, he served as a research assistant at Nanjing Forestry University from August 2019 to August 2020, where his work on functional bio-based composite materials and high-performance bio-adhesives significantly advanced his expertise. Currently, Dr. Jiang is an Associate Professor at Beijing Forestry University. His postdoctoral research (2024-2026) at the same institution continues to push the boundaries of forestry engineering.

Contributions and Research Focus

Dr. Jiang's research interests are diverse, encompassing adhesives and multifunctional films. His innovative work includes constructing networks in adhesive layers and modifying interfaces with bonded objects. Notably, in a groundbreaking study published in Nano Letters (2021), Dr. Jiang used boron nitride nanosheets to enhance and toughen soy protein isolate-based composite films. This innovative approach not only improved the film's mechanical properties but also significantly enhanced its thermal conductivity. He has also submitted a paper to Advanced Materials, highlighting the design of self-healing, high fatigue-resistant, and multifunctional nanocomposite materials utilizing sustainable bioresources. These materials exhibit excellent ultralow temperature toughness, showcasing his commitment to sustainable and high-performance materials.

He has completed five significant research projects, published 26 journal articles in SCI and Scopus indexed journals, and has four patents either published or under process.
