Dr. Preetom Nag's journey in academia began with a strong foundation in science, marked by exceptional achievements. He received an undergraduate board scholarship based on his stellar performance in the Higher Secondary School Certificate (H.S.C.) examination, which funded his undergraduate studies from June 2002 to May 2006. Dr. Nag earned his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from Dhaka University, where his outstanding academic results earned him the Provost Award from Jagannath Hall in 2006.

Dr. Nag's professional career is distinguished by a blend of teaching and research roles. He started as a Senior Teacher in Mathematics at Mastermind English Medium School, Uttara Branch, Dhaka, Bangladesh, from January 2010 to June 2011. Following this, he pursued his Ph.D. at Hokkaido University, Japan, under the Monbukagakusho Scholarship from October 2011 to September 2014. His dissertation focused on "Local-heterogeneous responses and transient dynamics in colloidal fluids," under the supervision of Professor Tamiki Komatsuzaki. Dr. Nag continued his research as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Research Institute for Electronic Science (RIES), Hokkaido University, from October 2014 to March 2015. He further served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the same institute from May 2016 to March 2017. Currently, Dr. Nag is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics & Physics at North South University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, where he has been teaching since April 2018.
