Dr. Shamik Das embarked on his academic journey with a strong foundation in mathematics. He pursued his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (Honors) from Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur, India, graduating in 2014. Building on his undergraduate studies, he earned a Master of Science in Mathematics and Computing from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, in 2016. His academic excellence continued as he completed his PhD in Mathematics at IIT Guwahati under the supervision of Prof. Anupam Saikia, focusing on "Congruent Number and Related Topics," which he defended in September 2021.

Dr. Das's professional career began with his role as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Mathematics department at Harish-Chandra Research Institute, Prayagraj, India, from October 2021 to October 2023. In November 2023, he joined Ewha Womans University, Seoul, South Korea, as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Mathematics, continuing his research and mentoring students.
