Subsequently, he pursued a Ph.D. in Life Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University, focusing on studying the influence of social and environmental factors on sleep using zebrafish as a model.

During his academic journey, Mr. Abhishek engaged in various research projects and internships, including a research training program on the cloning and overexpression of a putative phosphatase gene from Plasmodium falciparum. He also worked as a Junior Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, contributing to projects focused on molecular modeling and screening of phytochemicals reservoir from tea as lead immuno-stimulatory agents.
