Dr. Mohammad Shah's journey in academia began with his studies in zoology at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), where he earned his Ph.D. in 2003. His thesis, titled “Taxonomic studies on the nematodes of insects of Manipur and adjoining areas”, marked the start of his specialization in parasitology. His foundational education also includes an M.Sc. in Zoology from AMU, achieved with distinction, and a B.Sc. from Manipur University.

Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor at Yusuf Maitama Sule University (YUMSUK), Kano, Nigeria. He also contributed as a Research Associate with the Department of Biotechnology under the Government of India and served as a Young Scientist at AMU.
