Prof. Gabriella Teresa Capolupo's academic journey began with a Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan - Rome branch in 2005, achieving a score of 110/110 cum laude. She registered in the Register of Surgeons of Rome in 2006, followed by obtaining a Specialist in General Surgery with honors in 2011. She pursued further specialization, earning a Doctorate in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases in 2016 and a Master's degree in Endocrinosurgery and Senology in 2023.

Since 2012, Prof. Capolupo has held various positions at the University Polyclinic Campus Bio-Medico of Rome. Her roles have included managing professional functions in the Geriatric and Colorectal Surgery Units and conducting surgical interventions, primarily abdominal oncological surgeries, as the first operator, assistant, and assistant-guardian. She has also been actively involved in welfare activities and surgical on-call duties. In recent years, she has served as a Type A researcher with care duties at the Colorectal Surgery Unit and has been a teacher at the School of Specialization in General Surgery and Urology Specialization School.

Prof. Capolupo's research primarily focuses on general and colorectal surgery, with a particular interest in abdominal oncological surgery.
