Dr. Jamal Salah completed his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Basrah in 1988. He continued his studies and obtained a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology in 1995. His academic journey culminated with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Bradford in 2005.

Dr. Salah's professional career began at the Ministry of Higher Education in Iraq, where he played a pivotal role in shaping future generations of engineers. He held the position of Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering at Al-Nahrain University from 2005 to 2009. In 2010, he joined the University of Malaya as a Senior Lecturer and later progressed to an Associate Professor. He has also held various administrative positions, including the head of the Electrical Engineering Department and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
