Mrs. Swayamprabha Sahoo began her academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, graduating with distinction from the College of Basic Science and Humanities at OUAT, Bhubaneswar in 2015. She continued her education with a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the School of Pharmaceutical Science, Bhubaneswar, where she graduated with first-class honors in 2017. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to enroll in a Ph.D. program in Biotechnology at Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (Deemed to be University), Bhubaneswar, Odisha, which she has been undertaking since 2018.

Professional Endeavors

Mrs. Sahoo's professional experiences are rooted in her strong educational background and technical skills. She undertook significant research projects during her academic career, including her M.Sc. dissertation on the "Cloning and characterization of DMRT 1 gene in L. rohita" under the guidance of Dr. Jitendra Kumar Sundaray at ICAR-CIFA, Bhubaneswar. She also completed a six-month training at Imgenex India Pvt. Ltd. under the Biotechnology Consortium India Limited (BCIL), focusing on the expression and purification of recombinant Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE). Additionally, she gained practical experience through a one-month training on NGS at the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB) and attended a workshop on computational biology of drug discovery through molecular docking.

Mrs. Sahoo's research contributions are centered on molecular biology and bioinformatics. Her technical expertise includes primer designing, RNA isolation, gene expression analysis, recombinant protein purification, and various molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, and ELISA.
